I went out further than I have been in awhile and discovered a new Osprey nest. What a treat it was to see these birds soaring in the cloudless blue sky. I did manage to watch a couple of Blue Herons flying away from me. Like the elusive Sand Hill Cranes, always just out of camera reach. This was the first week that I didn’t see any Eagles I think they may have moved on. Every week the number of birds that are visible on the Island decrease by about half of what it was the previous week. I was looking forward of going out there again this past weekend but the rain really made that an impossibility. This is a "last Thursday" show showcasing artists around North Portland and will last through April.

I have two pieces in the show, "Buds" which is the photo on my home page. "Gas station in storm" is a photograph of the old fashioned gas station in downtown St. Johns after a storm, and can be seen on the awards page.

I hope you will be able to come out and support the arts and have an enjoyable evening.

For those of you who have not been to IFCC before it is right on the max tracks, get off at Killingsworth station. IFCC is an old fire station located on the east side of Interstate south of the Killingsworth station.
